Genoa Shipping Week, where business and port culture meet
Genoa, city of sea and trade exchanges, hosted Genoa Shipping Week from June 24th to 30th, a biennial event that brings together port, maritime and logistic operators from all over the world. The event is organized by Assagenti – the Association of Genoese agents and maritime mediators – with the support of Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking
The theme of the 2019 edition was we connect, in order to promote the commercial port of Genoa, but also the city itself.
7 days to discover the latest news of maritime shipping
The Genoa port is, in fact, one of the fastest growing Italian ports, as evidenced for example by the recent “sister agreement” signed between the Ligurian port and the Chinese port of Shenzhen.
During Genoa Shipping Week we participated in several meetings related to the themes of innovation, energy and environmental efficiency and safety.
A city with a strong port culture
During the fair there has been space for port culture as well, thanks to informative events, shows, performances and special guided tours that opened fascinating places in Genoa usually inaccessible.
Genoa is truly a unique city, a crossroads of goods and people, which is increasingly consolidating its position in the logistics and maritime shipping sector.
